The Fight Club: Learning and practicing the essentials of a growing follower of Jesus Top ^

This track is for anyone hungry to learn the way of Jesus. It is for both Christians and inquirers—for those who are still "in process" about God and the Bible, and also for those who simply yearn to experience God more. A wise teacher has said, "Never hesitate to practice the fundamentals." The Fight Club is an opportunity to practice the fundamentals of life in Jesus-Community. We will address questions such as, "How can the Bible change my life?" and "How can I know God's will?" In doing so, we will explore habits that, since the early Church, have helped people experience life to the fullest as Jesus promised.

Director: Kevin Wilson

Bible Dig In Top ^

What does it mean to be a person after God’s own heart? What is success? Do ethics and personal character matter? Come discover with us the answers to these questions and more as we study the personal triumphs and failures in the life of David through the book of 1 Samuel. In this track you will also learn beginning inductive Bible skills that will help in your own personal quiet time as well as in leading small group Bible studies.

Director: InterVarsity Regional Director, Sandy Beelen

Leadership Now Top ^

How do our InterVarsity chapters become communities that are growing broader and deeper? Students who are willing to grow, serve and lead can have great impact on campus. “Leadership Now” will equip you to have greater influence for the Kingdom of God on your campus. Through Bible study, teaching, articles and discussion we will look at topics like: 1) developing chapter vision 2) leading in evangelism 3) leading in prayer 4) self-leadership and 5) making disciples. This track is designed for current leaders as well as those looking at leadership in their chapter in the future; a great track for those considering joining staff with InterVarsity. Staff approval recommended.

Jesus, Justice and Your Campus Top ^

What would help you and your chapter grow in diversity and be more intentional about justice outreach? We know that Jesus is Lord of all people and desires to bring healing to all aspects of our lives. BUT how much does your chapter give witness to this reality? In this track we will explore ways of understanding and putting into practice the heart of God for diversity and justice in our chapters.

Director: Bob Hunter

Christians, Sex and Intimacy Top ^

All of us were created by God as sexual beings with desires to have intimate relationships. That was not a mistake. But on a daily basis we are bombarded by messages about our sexuality that leave us hungry for fulfilling answers and for honest dialog. In this track we hope to:

  • Learn from God about His perfect intent for our sexuality
  • Address the realities of living in a sexually broken world
  • Experience how the power of the cross would affect me
  • Take steps toward God’s plan for me as a sexual being

Director: IVP Authors Andy and Phyllis LePeau

World Changers Top ^

How can Christians respond to the rapid change taking place all around us: materialism, individualism, incessant busyness, relativism, and technology? This track will examine the contemporary culture around us through observing mega trends, attitudes, the arts and media, and values being taught as truth on campus. We will explore what a Christian worldview is, as well as how to integrate that worldview into our chapters on campus. Join us as we seek to more thoroughly understand our culture, and make a visible difference in becoming world changers for Christ!

Director: Nick Johnson

Get the Word Out Top ^

Come and be inspired and equipped to share your faith back on campus. This track will offer training in how to have spiritual conversations with those who are spiritually curious. You will learn how to share your own story and how to share the Gospel’s story. Be prepared to bring lots of ideas for outreach back to your chapter.
